The Manufacturing Execution System – Performance course is a 3-day, instructor-led class designed to provide a working knowledge of the features and functionality of MES Performance. The course provides lectures and hands-on labs to supply and reinforce the knowledge necessary to use MES Performance. The class will demonstrate how to configure and deploy a data collection system to analyze and report equipment utilization, availability, quality, and performance using Application Server objects. Both the MES Client and Web Portal will be addressed.
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Determine hardware requirements and software components necessary to deploy a working MES 2017 R2 Performance implementation
- Configure and license Middleware connections between multiple nodes in a network
- Select one of the three Security Modes, define users, and set permissions
- Model plant equipment (entities) in the MES Performance database (MESDB) manually or using the Entity Model Builder
- Enable capabilities in the MESDB to track Performance data in a production environment
- Define entity utilization states and reason codes
- Record and edit reason codes into MESDB
- Use objects in a Galaxy to automatically track equipment performance events
- Create work orders and jobs to run against a production line
- Use the MES Client and Performance Web Portal to define the information necessary to collect Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) data
- Use MES/Performance as a central downtime information repository and reporting tool
- Module 1 – Introduction
- Module 2 – Manufacturing Execution System Client and Web Portal
- Module 3 – Utilization and Entities
- Module 4 – Overall Equipment Effectiveness and Lines
- Module 5 – Automating Performance and Multi-Entity Lines
- Module 6 – Visualization
